چکیده

Background: Urosepsis is one of the most common infections that require empirical broad spectrum antibiotics immediately after diagnosis. This has led to development bacterial resistance by acquiring capability destroy β-lactam ring. Methodology: a cross-sectional hospital-based study. The study was conducted from 2019 2020 at Gezira Hospital for Renal diseases and surgery (GHRDS). A hundred patients were diagnosed clinically with urosepsis isolated organisms Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumonia Pseudomonas aeruginosa. susceptibility test Kirby Bauer disc diffusion technique according clinical laboratory standard institute (CLSI) guidelines. Seventy eight samples genomic DNA confirmed 16srRNA multiplex PCR, performed genotypic blaOXA-51 blaOXA-23 gene characterization bacteria. Then gel electrophoresis used identify presence or absence (blaOXA-51 blaOXA-23) genes. Results: 88.5% (69/78) in detected. Using frequencies genes 13% 10.1%, respectively. percentages isolates which yielded both among P. aeruginosa 25% (1/4), K. 17% (1/6), E. coli 8% (3/37). Only detected mirabilis 10% (1/10) only S. aureus 5% (1/18). Conclusion: In this study, increased

Antibiotic resistance pattern of bacterial agents isolated from blood culture of patients with infective endocarditis

Background: Infective endocarditis occurs due to the presence of microorganisms in the endocardium or the heart valves. Nowadays, infective endocarditis is still a major cause of death with an incidence rate of 5 to 7.9 per 100,000 populations. The aim of the study was to determine antibiotic resistance pattern of bacterial agents isolated from blood culture of patients with infective endocardi...
